Turkey Burgers

Turkey Burgers

Serves 4 - 6

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey (or meat of your choice)

½ cup finally chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

½ cup kale leaves, finely chopped

2 teaspoons mint leaves, chopped

2 teaspoons lemon zest

1 teaspoon MagicMix

5 teaspoons mint-flavored butter

3 teaspoons gruyere cheese, grated

½ teaspoon salt  

6-7 pieces of lettuce, bun-size

Red onion rings as desired

3 teaspoons Dijon mustard + 2 teaspoons honey, mixed together

4-6 burger buns

Turkey Burgers

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Mix all ingredients except honey, mustard and butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Make 4-6 patties with 1 teaspoon mint-flavored butter tucked inside the meat.
  4. Grill the patties 4-6 minutes per side on direct, medium-high heat on grill.
  5. Toast burger buns for 30-60 seconds on grill grates.
  6. Spread both burger bun halves with honey-mustard.
  7. Add the burger and garnish with lettuce and onion rings.
