Grilled Lamb Chops

Ingredients

1 stick MagicMix 

4 double-thick rib lamb chops

2 teaspoons garlic paste

2 teaspoons ginger paste

3 teaspoons heavy cream

1 cup plain yogurt

3 teaspoons lemon juice

2-3 strands of saffron soaked in 2 teaspoons of hot water

1 ½ teaspoons salt

3 teaspoons melted butter

Lemon wedges and chopped cilantro for garnish

Grilled Lamb Chops

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to high. Oil the grates.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix MagicMix, yogurt, garlic, ginger, heavy cream, saffron, lemon juice and salt.
  3. Prick lamb chops with a fork. Arrange flat on a large platter and coat with yogurt marinade. Using the back of a spoon or your fingers, massage the yogurt sauce into the surface of the chops.
  4. Cover chops and let marinate at least 4-6 hours, but preferably overnight.
  5. Place chops on hot oiled grates. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until done. Baste with butter several times.
  6. Serve lamb chops with grilled onion rings, lemon wedges and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.
